Challenge.
Aura was tasked to devise a bespoke project for Spectrum Brands, helping it develop a comprehensive and holistic sustainability strategy focusing on several areas including:
- Sourcing.
- Structural packaging strategy.
- Implementation and engagement.
- A regulatory refresh.
- Circular economy/post-consumer recycled content (PCR) and recyclability/end-of-life labeling strategy.
Solution.
Our packaging consultancy team organized a scoping workshop with Spectrum Brands to begin shaping what the company’s sustainability strategy should include. This workshop focused on:
- A hierarchy of drivers.
- Competitor analysis and benchmarking.
- Consumer trends and insights.
- A structural packaging review.
In addition to this activity, we provided an internal and external communications strategy for Spectrum Brands.
Benefit.
Spectrum Brands now has a comprehensive sustainability strategy covering its entire portfolio:
This includes an implementation roadmap for the next 10 years and aligns business targets and commitments with the organisation’s desired positioning.
As a result, Spectrum Brands has a change management programme that is fit for the future.
Impact.
Spectrum Brands has an implementation roadmap for the next 10 years and a change management programme to help future-proof the business.
