Great Big Green Week 2025: How Aura Is Turning Ambition into Action.

Posted 09/06/2025 by Gillian Garside-Wight

As the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change, Great Big Green Week (7-15 June 2025) is more than a calendar event – it’s a call to action. At Aura, sustainability isn’t a seasonal campaign. It’s a year-round commitment embedded in every client conversation, every packaging decision, and every innovation we bring to market.

A Week That Reflects a Year of Progress

This year’s Great Big Green Week arrives at a pivotal moment. With Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation coming into force across multiple regions, including the UK and several US States and strengthening across Europe, the packaging industry is undergoing a seismic shift. Aura has been at the forefront of helping brands navigate this complexity. From data readiness to navigating eco-modulated fee structures and mitigating cost impacts, our team is enabling clients to not only comply – but to lead.

From Policy to Practice: Making Data Work Harder

Aura’s proprietary platform, e-halo, continues to be a game-changer. Designed to simplify global packaging compliance, it transforms complex legislation into clear, actionable insights. Whether it’s calculating recyclability by market or preparing for EPR submissions, e-halo empowers brands to make smarter, faster decisions. As one team member put it, “It takes all the packaging data gathered and transforms it into dashboards that align with our clients’ goals”.

Championing Change, Inside and Out

Internally, Aura is just as committed to walking the talk. From supporting a flexible work-life balance to fostering a culture of continuous learning, the business recognises that sustainability starts with people. As highlighted in recent internal reflections, Aura’s culture is one where “the team breaks down sustainability into bite-sized chunks” to make it accessible and actionable for everyone.

Looking Ahead: From Green Weeks to Green Years

Aura’s ambition is clear: to become the global reference point for sustainable packaging. That means continuing to think strategically, invest in technology and develop strategic partnerships. We have so much in our pipeline that will be launched in the coming 12 months, there certainly are exciting times ahead. It also means showing up – advising clients globally and spreading our knowledge at events like Environmental Packaging Live, SPC Impact, SPC Advance, and London Packaging Week where we share insights, challenge norms, and collaborate with industry leaders.

A Message from Aura

Great Big Green Week is a reminder that real change happens when communities, companies, and individuals come together. At Aura, we’re proud to be part of that movement, not just this week, but every week.

Because sustainability isn’t a destination. It’s a direction. And we’re committed to leading the way.
