How does Sustainability Measurement support you?

Managing the environmental performance and carbon footprints of products, packs and processes can sometimes feel like an impossible task.

From the materials used, to the energy required for production across multiple components or skus – there’s so much to consider.

With Aura’s Life Cycle Assessment you can:

  • Benchmark and compare your packaging components against other alternatives
  • Leverage our recommendations across materials and resources to pursue more sustainable packaging solutions
  • Validate and justify positive change amongst key stakeholders
  • Support product claims with data-led analytics

The Life Cycle Assessment Journey.

Find out more about how Life Cycle Assessments can positively impact your organization and ensure right first time, sustainable packaging.

Step 1: Goal and scope definition

We define the purpose of your LCA assessment, specifying which environmental impacts and life cycle stages will be considered.

Step 2: Life Cycle Inventory (LCI)

Here, we gather data on all inputs and outputs associated with each stage of the product and packaging’s life cycle. This involves collecting information on raw materials, energy consumption, emissions, waste generation and transportation.

Step 3: Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA)

We evaluate the potential environmental impacts identified in the life cycle inventory. The Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) considers factors such as global warming potential, acidification, eutrophication, ozone depletion and any other relevant impact categories.

Step 4: Interpretation

We analyze and interpret the results of the assessment, considering the uncertainties and limitations of the study. This step helps in drawing conclusions and making recommendations for improvement.
